Subpoena for Truancy Court?

I will likely receive a subpoena for truancy court. Anyone ever had to do this before? What is it like?

*Side note: Anyone ever had to get out of being subpoenaed because they are supposed to fly to Denver to see their sister graduate from nursing school?

Oh that's crummy that the timing coincides with such an important trip. I was subpoenaed back when I was in college to testify on behalf of a girl I used to babysit for (long story) and the weekend before I was supposed to fly down to DC to appear in court, the defendant settled and the case was closed. Maybe you will get lucky. It's worth a call regardless to ask about your trip.
