Studying out of state

Published

I am currently a Nursing Student in the state of Florida, and after completion of the program I want to work in my home state of Michigan. I was just wondering if anyone knows if I would have to take my board test in Florida still or if I can just take the boards in Michigan? Also wondering if the pay will matter since I will graduate in Florida?

Thanks So Much.

Well I know nurses that are licensed in two or more states so I don't know if that is correct or not.

While on the subject of licensing in Michigan, are you required to submit fingerprints for a background check? This is required in Ohio, but I am planning on attending graduate school in Michigan. I was thinking I would just apply for a license in Michigan when I graduate.

Thanks!

Fingerprints aren't required. At least they weren't when I applied for endorsement and according to their endorsement packet, they aren't now either.
