Studying RN in Alberta wanting to transfer to Sweden

Published

Hello All,

I am a third year student working towards getting my RN. I am currently trying to figure out which is the best way to Transfer my training to Sweden. I am currently also learning the Swedish Language. My questions are as follows:

1. How do I go about getting the papers to live, learn, and work in Sweden? What exactly do I need?

2. Am I better off finishing my degree here and then transferring and taking the local course that would require me to learn about Swedish nursing? I am aware I will have to take the exams in order to be licensed?

3. Should I stop studying nursing in Canada as of now and start fresh in Sweden?

As of right now, I am taking a year off nursing school because I am getting major surgery done. I will continue my nursing studies in Fall 2011 and finish in Winter 2013 if I were to continue.

Please Help if you know the answer to any of these questions.

Thank you.
