I'm studying this weekend for my first Chemistry Exam (which is on Tuesday). My chemistry class is really an introductory chemistry class for non science majors geared toward nursing students. It covers the basics of general, organic, and biological chemistry. We're using the book by Timberlake/Pearson.
So anyway our first test is on Tuesday and it will cover the first 3 chapters which are measurement, Energy and matter, and Atoms and elements. Anyone else taking a similar class or at a similar point? I'm freaking out a little because it's our first test but I have noticed that I seem to understand many of the concepts that were so foreign a few weeks ago (like significant figures).

Chemistry wasn't that bad at all. All you have to do is study and when you get to the math portion, which was at the end for me, do the practice questions over and over until you can recite the steps. You will be fine.

I took my first chemistry exam this week too. I got a 79/80.
Its not hard but the electron configuration part may be hard for some people.
If you have trouble in chemistry, I highly recommend looking about khanacademy on youtube. The guy posts up videos of him teaching chemistry, biology, math, etc. The videos typically only take 13 minutes to view but in those 13 minutes you GET IT. Thats how I learned electron configuration. Also, do practice problems for the conversions. It will help.
