Study recommendations?

I'm a new RN I've been working in a LTC/rehab center for 6 months. I just am feeling really stressed out and like I don't know anything. Does anyone have any advice on things I should be studying to feel more comfortable with decision making? Should I reread my nursing texts? Or are there any recommendations for books I should get to keep up with things? I just feel like I'm forgetting everything I learned in school and how am I supposed to be able to make decisions if I forget about that stuff...

LTC is tricky because it's most likely very different from any environment you did clinical in. I am a LPN that just graduated with my RN so going from LTC to acute care will be tricky just because I very rarely had emergent situations in LTC so my prioritization skills is something I really have been working on. Can you be more descriptive about what your forgetting? I came up with many ways to keep myself on track after doing LTC for years so I may be able to suggest some things for you.

Mostly I'm forgetting the facts about medications and the diseases. Signs and symptoms and that stuff. If I can't remember what it is I look it up but don't you need to know more than just what it is? I just feel like I'm not well enough informed to make decisions on how to handle things. Does that come with time or should you know how to do that right out of nursing school because of the information you learned?
