I AM STARTING MY LPN CLASSES IN A COUPLE WEEKS AND WAS HOPING TO GET SOME TIPS ON ORGANIZING MY NOTES AND TIPS ON STUDYING. IM THINKING IF I HAVE EVERYTHING ORGANIZED before I START CLASS WILL MAKE THINGS EASIER. ANY POINTERS? ANYTHING I COULD BUY TO HELP ORGANIZE BETTER? WHATS A GOOD WAY TO STUDY? I CANT SEEM TO GET IT TOGETHER WHAT WORKS FOR YOU? I WILL APPRECIATE ANY INPUT I GET.
I have not tried this yet but one tip I read was to teach the information to someone else. Pretend you are the teacher and teach your classmate the info as if they have never seen it. I think this is a great idea and wanted to share it.
I do that ALL the time and I will tell you that it DOES work. The idea is that if you can explain it to your peer(s) - as if a patient asked you - then you probably know the material. You may also want to try picturing the scenario in your head. I do that when I'm just zoning out during studying. Scenarios in my head help me study, because I'm forced to ask myself, "Crap, she's in respiratory distress, WHAT DO I DO NOW?"
