Student thinking about joining the army reserves

Published

Hello!

I am a 20 year old student working on my BSN and will graduate in May of 2011. I have always had the idea of joining the army in the back of my mind, and now with graduation soon approaching, it is something I have really started looking into. My problem however, is that I feel extremely naive and I'm not even sure of where to start..do I speak to a recruiter first? I am interested in the Army reserves, and am fully willing and even somewhat excited at the idea of being deployed. I understand this is a serious decision, and I really just want to become fully informed before making anything final. If anyone can share any advice on where to start/what to be aware of/or what questions to ask, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Carly :)

Where you need to start first is with a Health Care recruiter not an enlisted recruicter which almost everytown has. HC recruiters can be diffucult to find, go to goarmy.com and ask for the closest HC recruiter. Once you find one, it might take sometime for them to get back to you since they cover a large area. Since you are just in the explorering stage you should also check out the Air Force and Naval Reserves.
