Raleigh CRNA program 2017 entry

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

I was wondering if anyone out there who interviewed with Raleigh last week (Nov. 1st and 2nd) has heard back yet. I am going nuts waiting!

I have an interview tomorrow and I am really nervous! How did yours go? Did they say how long it would be before they notified you?

I thought it went well. It was very laid back, about 15 mins long and they were all super nice. I know that ppl who are accepted get notified quickly (talked to about 12 current and past students), but the director tells you that you may not get word until December. I'm sure for November interviewees, that would mean rejection letter. That's why I'm bummed I haven't received a letter yet. Not looking good. Good luck to you!

I've been accepted!!! I have an interview at Texas Wesleyan in Jan., but I am happily going to cancel!!! I can't believe this day has finally come.

I interviewed mid November as well and received a letter saying I'm on the alternate list. Super bummed, but also happy I still have a chance. Hopefully someone gets into another program and withdraws so I can go!

Hey, I know you're bummed because I was in the same position last year. Be sure to turn in your letter saying that you want to be on the alternate list and go ahead and ask them for feedback about what you can do to improve your application next year. Sometimes it takes two tries. It's so worth it!

Thanks, I already sent my letter in for the alternate list. Is this your second time applying to RSNA? Were you on the alternate list last year? Have you heard of people coming off the alternate list and being accepted? I don't think they give me an idea of where I am on this list. So anxious to start!!

Yes, I was an alternate last year. The alternate list is probably long and there are probably very few people pay their deposit and then change their mind about the program. I never thought it was very likely I was going to get into the program that year, but it gave me hopes of getting in the next year. I've known several people who have interviewed twice at two different programs and the second time they got in. It means they like you. If they want you back, then they want to talk to you again and seriously consider you. Stay positive for next year and get feedback. :)

I interviewed on Nov 10th and received my acceptance letter the following Monday (Nov. 14th). I shadowed a CRNA who was 12th on the waiting list when she applied the first time and the individual who was 11th on the waiting list got admitted-- she didn't get accepted that year but she was accepted the following year. Fingers crossed for you!

Congrats on your acceptance PICU2CRNA! I am going to post a thread to try and connect with other admitted RSNA students for Fall 2017.

Congratulations to you as well! I'm beyond excited and terrified as well. Lol

Do anyone of you mind me messaging you about RSNA? I have an interview next month!
