Job Shadow CRNA Las Vegas

Hi all,

I am new to the Las Vegas area. I am currently working as an RN in the ICU. I was recently considering the idea of going to graduate school. Anesthesia struck an interest for me. Before I go down that path though I would like to do some job shadow experience with a CRNA not an anesthesiologist to see if it's something I really want to pursue or not. My hospital doesn't employ CRNAs. I called a couple other places and the same thing. I thought every hospital had CRNAs, but I guess I was wrong or maybe the person on the other line just doesn't know what I'm asking about. Does anyone know of any nurse anesthetists in the Las Vegas area that would be willing to have a person job shadow him/her? Thanks in advance!

I know the surgery center with southwest medical uses crnas. I don't know any personally though. You do realize that there are no crna programs here though so you will have to move to another state if that is something you want to do.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, unfortunately NV is one of the twelve states that doens't have their own CRNA programs. Maybe some day it will, but I'm quite alright moving to another state for school. It's just me, so moving around isn't hard.
