Anyone apply for FSU CRNA starting August of 2019??

Having everything done and ready to go. They pushed the deadline back to Jan 11 and I am thinking its because of the hurricane that went through and destroyed everything. I have read that the students right now can't go to class or clinical because all of the hospitals down in that area are shut down for now so I am not sure how their program will flourish over the next couple months.

were you able to get ahold of someone? I have called several times and left messages with no reply. I am glad to know the deadline has been extended. I wonder if we should resubmit everything.

Yes I was. Geniece emailed me a couple days ago after leaving me a voicemail. I have called once a week for three weeks and finally got ahold of someone. The students there now are raising money for housing food water and their classes and clinicals are on hold.

I guess I have been lucky and got ahold of her 3 out of the 4 times that I called. I'm just waiting on my CRNA reference. I have read on some older posts that they typically have about 100-125 applicants and interview about 48 people for the 24 spots. Does anyone know much about their clinicals? Such as competition with residents, regional blocks, etc...? I saw that their latest first-time boards pass rate was only 62%. Also, will the delayed date delay interview invites?

I know this sounds silly. can you please post the number you are using to call them. I have emailed and called prob 8 times with no call backs or email backs. TY!

I just called her phone number that they have listed, 850-770-2420.

I have had a hard time contacting Mrs Mcpeak as well. She hadn't check/updated the status on my application until I emailed an associate processor. Then i got a generic email saying that she has been processing applications in the order she received them. Mine was completed back in September, so i imagine they have have more applications this year than last. She did mention that the deadline had been extended to January this year when i last spoke with her in October. No new updates as of this month. I haven't been notified of when interviews will be selected, or what the dates will be, but hopefully it's soon. I live in California so I hope they give me a little more time. I've yet to hear but from Barry and their interview dates for others are rapidly approaching.

Has anyone noticed that the school's accreditation is due August 2020? If, for some reason, the school doesn't pass their accreditation, SRNAs at that time would be lost in limbo aka would not be able to finish their degree... is this something that is of concern to anyone? I am thinking of applying because I really want to go to this school but this is just something that's on my mind.....

There was a PA program around the corner from where I live. They lost their accreditation about 4 years ago, the year my friend got in. From what i understand they were obligated to put their last class through. They were eligible to sit for the PANCE, but when they applied for jobs they were limited in where they could apply coming from an unaccredited school-though that was subjective perspective from one of the students.
