Why CA? Is there any problem in pursuing Nursing career in CA?
Yep, like Kuyafern said, we PH grads have a "slight" problem with our degrees, the majority meaning 1,000's don't meet the CA BON educational requirements and either need to become LVN's, retake a course or two that's nearly impossible to get into, takes maybe up to 18-24 months to get it done, if you're lucky to get enrolled or simply re-do an entire CA nursing program, just a slight detour you might say.
Have you even read the "few" postings here under "denial", can't pass, rejected etc by the CA BON threads?
Just recently someone (Lanze) got rejected by the VT BON for the same concurrency issue or something about the courses were "unacceptable".

Hello guys, my name is Lambert. I just want to ask help with you guys how i can do become a registered nurse here in US (Florida) well in fact i didn't yet take nursing board or i mean i'm not yet a registered nurse in the philippines. I just finished my study there but right after i moved here in US.
Please give me some info. so i could take action from your advices or comments. I just really don't know. My mother keeps pushing me to continue my nursing career but im not really sure what first step should i take on. Or, i was also thinking if coming back to philippines to take the NLE is right to do so. Because some other says that i should be registered nurse first before i can take the NCLEX.
Thank you,
Lambert
