Student Nurse In Need of a Job!

Published

Hello everyone. I am a recent nursing graduate student looking for a job in the Atlanta, Athens and surrounding areas. Right now I am even willing to relocate if offered a job. I have completed all my nursing classes but I do not sit for my boards until December 2014. In the mean time I am trying to obtain a patient care technician position or any hospital position that I qualify for. I have applied to over 200+ jobs since the beginning of May and I have not heard anything back or have not be selected for any of the positions. I am in desperate need for hands-on clinical experience and a job. Does anyway have any advice? All are welcomed.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I hope to hear from all of you soon.

God Bless

Kimberly

Why are you not taking boards until December?

I have a NCLEX review course to take as part of my schools nursing curriculum requirement.

Look at your state's nursing board and see if you can challenge the CNA exam as a nursing school new grad. My state

lets new grad nursing students challenge the CNA exam. Then, when you get your CNA credential apply for positions. You'll

probably find a nursing home that will hire you.

Oh yes I have already called them & asked about that because I know other states allow that but not Georgia. Thanks for the advice though.
