Hi Everyone,
I am currently a sophomore nursing student at the University of Connecticut and I was wondering if anybody could give me some insight into some Nurse externship/internship programs that I am interested in.
I am looking at nurse internship programs in my general geographic area. I know that they require at least one med-surg rotation, but I figured if I want to be a competitive applicant I better start planning now. The ones that I am interested in are Yale-New Haven Hospital, Hartford Hospital, St. Raphael's, Mass General, New York Presbyterian, NYU Medical Center, and Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Besides the minimum GPA requirements, what else would make a candidate competitive?
Thank you all so much for your input and advice.

I applied to Mt. Sinai and have not yet heard back. Have you heard back from Presbyterian or NYU?
