Hi,

I was inquiring to find out if any one knew what good private school loans are out their for lpn school. I spoke with the financial aid office today and they only gave me two student loans and I have to find a third. I really want to start lpn school in march but i not going to pay 400+ a month while in school..that CRAZY!

Thank You

I took out a Sallie Mae Career loan (I think that is what it is called). I didn't have to pay anything for 12 months. The loan was for $24,000 and payments are $202 for 15 years. I'm would like to get it paid off a lot sooner. Also, the loan was taken out in 2007.

I also was issued a Sallie Mae career training loan back in 2004 for $19,995 and didn't have to make payments while attending the LVN program. My payments became due for repayment within a month of completing the LVN program.

Financial institutions such as Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and local credit unions offer private student loans to cover caps in educational costs. Good luck to you!

Has anyone received nursing scholarships to cover tuition not payed by federal loans? I am looking for scholarships to apply online and so far I have only found one. Also, if anyone can give me some input on what they did to get tuition payed, that would be great. My financial adviser pretty much told me I need to get a private loan and that's it. I want to make sure I have tried all my other resources before committing to a loan from a bank.
