I've applied CRNBC in last Dec and then run for all necessary documents. I got my file and register number in middle of January. Then wait until March 15, I sent an e-mail and called CRNBC to find out what's going on. The answer was one verificaion form is missing, so I made it again as soon as I got the answer. Until the end of April, I sent e-mail twice to check out but still no response. I called and a lady told me that now there two documents are missing. I felt so upset cause' I paid the service fee to CRNBC, but what kind of services I've got.
Should I make a complain? Does it work?

Moved to the International Forum. This is NOT an issue for the average Canadian nurse.
It is not CRNBC's fault that your documentation has not arrived at their office. If they have misplaced some of your documentation, that is on them, but you have to realize the magnitude of the pile of papers they handle each and every day. That service fee that you paid? That $262.50 includes 412.50 in federal taxes and pays for professional assessment of your documentation (RNs with Masters degrees are paid about $45 an hour in BC) plus all of the handling, notifications and communications costs. Someone has to look at every single piece of paper that is submitted in your name, and that can run to dozens. They have to read everything to ensure that the key information is actually there. They have to verify the accuaracy and validity of the information provided. They have to compare unfamiliar educational programs to that of the local schools. They have to determine what, if any, further documentation or remediation is needed. They have to spend time on the phone or reading mail or email from dozens of applicants in a day. You're really paying for about 5.5 total hours of work for a job that in reality might take 15 or 20 hours to complete. You're getting a DEAL here!! BC nurses are subsidizing the cost of your application whether it's successful or not. You paid to have your documents assessed, nothing more. And that's what you'll get once your file is complete. They can't make people comply with your requests to send in your records. The CRNBC web site states quite clearly that your file will NOT be assessed in any way until ALL required documentation has been submitted. It will take as long as it takes.
