Hello everyone! I've recently passed NCLEX and will be graduating from nursing school in December (entry MSN). An exciting time! In the process of getting my resume ready as well as generally preparing myself for being a real nurse sometime soon, I am trying to prudently select professional organizations to join.
Seems the ANA membership is a contentious topic on here. I understand where most concerns seem to be coming from (little action, misrepresentation), but I also like the idea of belonging to a recognized national organization, especially as a newbie.
I'm licensed in CA and really considering ANA and/or California Nurses Assoc/NNOC. What are your thoughts? Both? CNA/NNOC? Other suggestions?*
*not sure which setting ill be starting out in
