stretched earlobe piercings as CNA?

Published

Hi, so I am starting the CNA program at my local community college next month and I could not be more excited about it but I have one question. My earlobes are currently stretched to one inch, I have no problems leaving the jewelry out and I know how to hide them by tapping them to the back of my ear but my main question is do you think it would be a problem if I just didn't wear jewelry at all? If it would be I can still use my tape trick but I was just curious. I am excited to hear what you all have to say :) Thanks!

I am also starting CNA training this month. I have a tattoo (my last name) on the back on my neck. Its very pretty & I love it. Luckily, I have long hair so it's covered when I need/want it to be. I was wondering the same thing, weather it would prohibit people from hiring me...but I guess I just leave my hair down and only pull the sides up for work..problem solved. So...you like your ears but don't want them seen during working hours- tape them, problem solved too.

Thank you everyone :) I found these small bandaids that work better than the tape. They are more adhesive to skin and are flesh colored! I think I am in the clear

You should probably tape it. On a personal level, I don't care how people like to express themselves.

However, patients might mind and as a CNA, I kind of mind.

Professionalism is important, and I don't think that being discriminated against just for a stretched earlobe would be any fun.
