Stressed

Nursing Students General Students

I am so xtremely stressed out. I am In my 3rd week of school and have my second nursing exam on monday I also have skills checkoff on the same day. I have been so busy trying to learn my skill that I am neglecting to study for my theory test. any one have any suggestions for situations like this.

I wouldn't be stressing so much except that just when I thought the skills checkoff couldn't get any worse the instructor added more to it with just a couple of days to learn it. The worst part about is that there are 70 students in my class and the skills lab is always full and there aren't enough instructors to help. I just wanted to get that off my chest. thanks for any suggestions:eek:

Try and see if you have anybody you can practice your skills on at home, or find another student to practice with. As long as you have your step by steps, you should be ok.

STudy bits at a time, don't try to cram it all in at once. Go an hour and take a break, then do another hour. It's easier a bit at a time.

Hang in there, you will do fine.

Just do your best. You know the skill, you know the test. Listen to Marla~ I freaked out in another post, but her and another friend helped me come back to earth and understand the more I stress, the harder it will be on me. (Thanks guys!)

Just hang in there~ we're all here for you!

Wow! Mlgovt,

I know the feeling. Taking care of my 2 year old and studying is a lot of work for me but do I have a choice? No.

I try to do my assignments on time and do some studying everyday. i do not have a social life but it is okay with me. My classes are sometimes pressuring but I just have to hold on.

I am so happy to be able to be a member of this forum because I realize that there are a lot of nursing students out there who are in the same position as I am in.

just hang in there mlgovt, you will reap the benefit soon.

MRed is right. Bits at a time. I know it's tough, but after the first set of exams, I didn't do as well as I would have liked, so I'm changing strategies. I sat down and worked out a schedule with my family (husband and 3 kids). It gives me a few hours each day to study, but it's in small chunks.

If the lab is full, is it possible for the school to open up more times?

Just hang in there. You'll find your pace and everything will work out just fine.
