strategies in studying

How about "If you fail, you won't be able to come to America to make the big bucks". Is that inspiring enough?

Studying is very hard to make fun, but if you just think about what lies on the line when you are studying, you will be more apt to want to do well. It took me a while to get accustomed to studying, and developing good study skills, but I have since found a way to make myself study. And when you get that test grade back from all your hard work, it becomes fun and inspiring then! :yeah:

I have the attention span of a chicken, so I can only study in about 20 min blocks. Then I get up and walk around, get a drink of water then start again. Breaking it up in small blocks worked for me, but not for my room mate who sat and studied for hours... than again, I did get better grades than her soo.... :lol2:

That was very rude. The OP wanted tips for studying not a jab about coming to America.

OP: Like the previous poster said break everything up in 20-30 mins blocks so you don't get bored with it. Also when you study it you have multiple subjects bounce from one to another so you won't get bored at studying the same thing for a lond period of time. If there's anyone in your class that you can study with having someone ask questions can help you learn the material.
