Anyone else applying to Stony Brook's ABSN program 2024?
There are two Terms of Service-approved ways to create a special place for your cohort.
1. Create a facebook page. This link may be posted.
2. Create a student "Club" for your cohort by clicking on the "Breakroom/Clubs" link under "Communities" at the top of any page in the upper left on desktop or "Breakroom" under "Special Sections" in the upper right on mobile.
2. Click "Start a Breakroom Club".
3. Invite members at your discretion.
You may post social or mobile application links once in a private group. Keep in mind, clubs will not be moderated, unless a member reports an issue.
References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I was wondering what kind of communication, if any, you have been receiving from sbu since being accepted? I got the acceptance letter on 1/4/2024 and haven't heard anything since, even though on the letter it states:
"Please be advised that you will receive several important emails regarding program information.
An email informing you of a mandatory orientation and necessary supplies/equipment to be purchased by you.
An email regarding a plan of registration.
An email from the School of Nursing, Office of Student Affairs with instructions on completing requirements pertaining to health, certifications and professional liability.”
Did any one get these emails? Worried I might have missed something as I haven't really heard anything from them.
Thank you
Hi Shirjal125,
no information has really been given since acceptance letters went out. Only thing we know for sure is start of program is June 3rd and there was an admitted students day 2 weekends ago to go over classes and what our program will be like. Join the facebook group that was listed above and those have more info! But besides that, emails from the school of nursing with info has not been sent out yet. Hope this helps!
Hey guys! Congratulations to everybody who was accepted! I am planning to apply this year m. Can somebody who was accented share their status ( GPA, experience…). My currently GPA is 3.9 for prerequisites , everything is A, just Lifespan development is B+. Have experience in medical field, used to work as medical assistant more than 1 year. Thanks for your sharing!

I was able to log in to Solar, but for some reason, the $150 tuition deposit doesn't show. I only have a Summer 2024 housing deposit in the new student section so I'm not sure if that's it or maybe it just hasn't been updated yet. I already accepted my offer so I feel like it should.
