Stony Brook Accelerated BSN 2011 - Support Needed!!

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda new here, and everyone seems to be really helpful and supportive to each other!! I am going to apply for Stony Brook's Accelerated program for next year, but I have tons of questions here... hope you guys can guide me thru the days!! :)

Let me do a little intro... I graduated from Stony 2009 with a BS in Health Science. my cum. GPA in stony was 3.01 and Major GPA was 3.14... (I know... not that decent...) Before I went to stony, I went to a CUNY school with a 2.7 GPA... I am working as a medical assistant in a community health center. I decided to take my prereqs so I went back to the same CUNY school because of the convenient location and cheaper tuition. Tried to boost my GPA but... didn't really work... = (

So far I only have a 3.0 for only my prereqs...

Prereqs:

A&P 1 - B-

A&P 2 - B-

Chem 1 - A

Chem 2 - B-

Microbio - taking it in fall

Recommendations: any idea which three i should get?

- head nurse(my supervisor)/pediatrician/professor/ex-boss(at stony brook and I was a supervisor at that job)

Experience:

- Worked as a pediatric program assistant, and now a peds medical assistant

Essay:

- still working on it... only got the outline done...

I've heard that Stony doesn't only look at GPA's, but also essay, recommendations, and clinical experience. Can anyone give me some sort of idea what is my chance of getting in?

and my cum.GPA from the CUNY is still at 2.8... is it gonna affect their decision?

omg omg I really hope someone gets back to me... I really dunno what to do if I don't get in...
