Try CHOP . They were the only ones to schedule an interview with me and then offer me a position as a new grad. The turn over if very high there, so they always have positions.
The other thing to consider to your advantage is the fact that you are chipper than someone c 10 years of experience. Don't give up!

SundayJ, did you take the job at CHOP? If so, how do you like it there?

CHOP is my dream hospital. I am trying so hard to get an interview there!
yeap, I accepted the position and worked there for a little less than 2 years. I heard from many nurses on my floor that they had difficult time c recruiter, i.e. they won't return calls, change recruiters on you etc. In fact, I had somewhat difficult time with them , too. When I had my interview , I received a call saying that I was offered the position and the date of my orientation. When, I showed up on the orientation they did not have me on the list! Neither did they sent me a contract to sign! This was resolved eventually. See my other posting for more description . Any questions, feel free to PM me.

OMG! What a nightmare! I'm glad it was resolved eventually.
Have any of you thought of extending your reach a bit and applying to Atlanticare in Atlantic City, Pomona, and elsewhere?
I don't know how easy it is to get licensed in NJ if you have a license in PA, but it might be worth looking into.

hello!
i just graduated from jefferson with a bsm degree and having the most difficult time looking for a job. i have been on a few interviews but for position where i was up against nurses with 10+ yrs with experience who received an offer. i am finding so many places ( city/burb areas) that are not hiring new graduate nurses. i've been to every information session located in the city and outside the city and have been told many places are not looking for new graduates.
i recently found an add by the "bridge program" saying they will offer full relocation and $25,000 for a sign on bonus, the only problem is, this location is in harrisburg.has anyone else seen this add or know anything about this company? i feel like it's too good to be true but then again, the city hospitals are over populated with nursing schools, its no wonder new grads are having a hard time finding a job.
any suggetions? i have started volunteering for various organizations, but i am going through withdraw of the hospital setting ! thanks for anyone who can offer any comments!
