hello!
i just graduated from jefferson with a bsm degree and having the most difficult time looking for a job. i have been on a few interviews but for position where i was up against nurses with 10+ yrs with experience who received an offer. i am finding so many places ( city/burb areas) that are not hiring new graduate nurses. i've been to every information session located in the city and outside the city and have been told many places are not looking for new graduates.
i recently found an add by the "bridge program" saying they will offer full relocation and $25,000 for a sign on bonus, the only problem is, this location is in harrisburg.has anyone else seen this add or know anything about this company? i feel like it's too good to be true but then again, the city hospitals are over populated with nursing schools, its no wonder new grads are having a hard time finding a job.
any suggetions? i have started volunteering for various organizations, but i am going through withdraw of the hospital setting ! thanks for anyone who can offer any comments!

I'm looking to move to Pittsburgh in Audust 2009 and need help finding a hospital also. I'll take my boards in May in NY so I need to figure out how to get a Pennsylvania license too. I would like to find out what hospitals offer loan forgiveness, what the pay scale is and what hospitals would be close to downtown where I want to live. Any help would be great! :nuke:
