I am completely deaf in my left ear due to a surgery to correct meniere's disease. I am young for having the disease (25), but I am already feeling it start to surface in my right ear as well. I was trying to take blood pressure the other day, and couldn't hear a single pulse. I have 80% hearing in my "good" ear. Any suggestions for a good hearing impaired stethoscope? My money isn't growing on trees just yet, but I am willing to get the best possible. Thanks!

I have a bilateral, severe to profound hearing impairment and use a digital stethoscope and headphones from Cardionics. It's called the "e-scope" and amplifies heart and lung sounds. You can hear bowel sounds with it as well. It's an investment but it's worth it.

I currently own a Thinklabs ds32a+. While in nursing school I got by with a Littman 3000 and it worked well enough. The Thinklabs scope also comes with an application ( to be purchased separately), that l loaded on to my Ipod touch to visually observe heart sounds. I take one of my CIC aids out of my ear at times, sometimes both if I'm not pressed for time. The amplification is great!

I have a bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA) in my right ear. I am microsia and atresia of the right ear so basically it's looks like a baby ear... My left ear is normal with 100% hearing. I have a littman lightweight and just use the left side. It's a little tough but I get used to it. I'm upgrading to the littman cardiology iii next paycheck!
