I'm trying to find some sort of bag with a zipper to put my stethoscope, bandage scissors, penlight, etc in when I carry them back and forth to school and maybe clinical. Does anywhere sell bags specifically for this? Or what would be something else small that I could use?

You can find them at allheart.com. You can also find them at a nursing uniform store.

I used a messenger bag that I had at home. At first, I thought all I had to bring to clinical was the steth, penlight, etc. Then I threw in the clinical paperwork, Davis drug guide, clipboard to write on, clinical skills book, money, granola bar, etc, etc, etc. Bigger is better!

I used a large pencil box (you can get them at Staples or Office Max... maybe Walmart?) It kept all of those items together and protected my stethoscope from getting crushed in my bookbag at the same time

In my class most of us use clipboards that open up and hold stuff inside. They sell them at Walmart and usually have a calculator stuck to the top of them. We have to carry a clip board anyway and we don't really have anywhere that we can store any sort of extra bag. I keep stuff like scissors and my pen light in my pockets but all my paperwork stays inside the clip board and I can stick my stethoscope in there when I'm done with it. They also have a handy slot at the top on the inside that is good for stuff like granola bars or whatever other small items we might need to bring.
