I am a current medical/surgical nurse of about 1 year and 2 months with my BSN. A nurse recruiting job is posted at my current job and I want to apply. What steps do I take to become a nurse recruiter or can I just apply?
Thank you!!!

I've been a staff nurse for a little over 3 years (in labor and delivery and both in patient and outpatient pediatrics), and have decided that it's just not right for me. I would LOVE to get into recruiting. I know you posted this a LONG time ago, but I was wondering if you had any luck applying for the Nurse Recruiter job, and if you have any pointers for someone else who is interested.
Thanks!

I have been offered a position as a nurse recruiter, well sort of. It is a recruiter who wants to start a healthcare recruitment to his current placement biz. His official database will not be ready until January 2010. I would get nothing until I place a nurse into a job. My concern is who would switch jobs in this economy?
Can someone tell me about nurse recruitment - how many hours a week does one need to invest to make it work? I am outgoing, enjoy talking to people - enjoy research - don't get feelings hurt when people say no - somewhat organized - is this a possible good fit??
