Hey everyone!
New pre-nursing student here, wanting to specialize in neonatal care. I just wanted to know if any of you could explain to me the steps involved in becoming a neonatal nurse? What's the next process after I get my bachelor's?

There's not really any special steps, other than scoring your senior clinical practicum on the NICU and applying for NICU positions.
That being said, don't worry about specializing until you're in your final semester of the nursing program. And be open-minded. NICU tends to be a competitive unit, so it can be a struggle for new grads to find positions.

There is a NICU subforum under specialties on here, that might be a better place to ask. I'm also interesting in NICU nursing, and they have been very helpful.
Thanks, I thought there was more to it than that!
Thank-you, I'll definitely check that out!
