Hello, I graduated from the LVN program from HCC in December 2014. You need to take prerequesites, Nutrition and Anatomy & Physiology. There are two types of A&P, the A&P class for LVN, which is just a semester long, and A&P 1 and A&P 2, which is two classes, each a semester long. You just need one of those A&P's, but if you plan on going on to RN, I recommend taking A&P 1 and A&P2 because I only took the A&P for LVN and now I'm having to do A&P 1 and 2 to go back for RN. Once you've taken those classes and passed with at least a C (75 or higher), you take the TEAS test and you need to get a 60% on the math part and 64% on the reading part.
Deadlines are June 1st for the Fall Semester which starts in August and October 1st for the Spring semester which starts in January. The program is 12 months long, summer included.
After all that, you can apply with your transcript and hope for the best. Then they will send you a letter for interview. PM me if you have any questions. Check out these links: http://www.hccs.edu/media/houston-community-college/coleman-college/pdfs/admission-steps/LVN_Fall-2015-16.pdf

I have barely started looking into the LVN program at Houston Community College. I have yet to actually go to the school and talk to an advisor. I was just wondering what to expect when it comes to starting of. If anyone can help a girl out with advice and tips that would be very much appreciated! Thank you in advance :)
