STCC 2011 Hopefuls?

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Just wondering if anyone else is trying to get into STCC this fall for Nursing? I'm finishing up prereqs now, and just took the HESI. I scored an 85, but want to take it again to see if I can get my score up even higher. I have a 4.0, so I'm hoping that as long as my midterm grades are A's/B+'s I'll be OK.

No one in admissions told me anything about that status. I don't get it. Ugh

They seem to be quite unhelpful lol. To me an Intra-college acceptance would mean an acceptance. Were you in a different STCC program before?

Go to ur students menu and click on ur progile to see if ur major has changed to nusring

Yeah I think if they put the word acceptance next to my nursing status it would have to mean accepted. That would not be nice if it meant otherwise. I emailed my advisor asking what the deal is. No response. Yes im considered prehealth.

Did you try this?

Yeah I've tried looking at everything else. Nothing else has changed. My major is still prehealth.

Ok I went to admissions and forced an answer outta them! And im in! ... I can't catch a break im supposed to be outta town for a wedding on orientation! Ah.

haha well at least you know you're in now! Congrats :)

Good Luck and Congrats everyone!!!! I will be graduating from STCC nursing in a few weeks! last class was today!!. It really is an awesome school!! Professors are really great.

I just got my acceptance letter last week. Its so cool to see local people up on here. See you guys there future study buddies!

congrats! I assume since you just got the letter you were not at orientation? If you have facebook you should join our group.. there is a lot of helpful information up there already and we can answer any questions you may have as well (although we'd be happy to do that here as well)

Just a few helpful suggestions in case you are interested.

A lot of us have already purchased used/previous edition books through amazon/ebay etc.. for a LOT cheaper.. im talking saving yourself about $1000 dollars. So unless you really feel you need the newest and best books I would suggest doing this as well.

You can also take your cpr class through baystate for quite a bit cheaper then stcc offers it.

Congrats again! See you in the fall.

I have orientation scheduled for august 12th and then pre nursing institute on the 16th. Why would they have two different orientations?
