You are reading page 2 of Stay with good paying job, or go with LVN program??? NEED ADVICE...... If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

How many bay area people are out there. Soon2, it sounds like you're thinking of going to Western Career College. I just came back from a 'seminar' there and was deflated to say the least. I was orginally told it was a 9 month program (it's 15) and it's $30,000. WHOA. They also prefer you don't work. That's fine if you're 18 and Mom and Dad are footing the bill, but as it is I have to work 2 jobs (helping my pre med niece till March) I looked up Los Medanos College in Pittsburgh and there not taking LVN students till Spring of '08. Looks like truck driving school for me.:sniff: I wish there was an ROP program in Northern California for us minimum wage earners. Best of luck to you anyway.

are you're students overwhelmed with the program and working at the same time... is it doable?

It does not appear that people are overwhelmed. The good thing is that we usually have notice prior to exams, and can do our reading and studying over the weekends.
