Stats for favorable DNP admission?

Published

I just wanted to throw feelers out there to those who have been admitted/ are currently in a DNP program. What did your stats look like? GPA? Years of RN experience? Did you already have a Master's? I know that programs post their minimum requirements for admission, but I'd like to know who actually gets in without a problem.

I'm currently a BSN student with all A's so far. Just want to know how much I should worry if I get a B or two. Thanks!

with the current state of advanced nursing education I'm thinking that the fact you're breathing is good enough

Don't worry about a B or two. What you are asking depends so highly on the school you go to. Online only schools with no reputation probably won't care that much about your grades. They are there to take your $ and you probably feel like you are not challenged.

For the most part grad school is not like undergrad. At the program I went to, they based admission more off of your entrance interview and experience. Most students had two faculty interview prior to interview and at least 2 years as an RN.

There weren't even enough applicants to the psych cohort this year so they don't even have that track.
