Is anyone taking statistics this semester? I am!
I heard that it was a very difficult, boring class, but I'm actually enjoying it. The only negative is that my class moves so fast through the material. I am definitely seeing that it continually builds on itself, so it is important to stay on top of what you or learning or you'll get behind easily.
Tips? Stories? Share them here.

I have taken statistics twice. The first time I took it was 4 years ago and I most recently took it again this past summer (for some reason the course I took the first time won't transfer to any of the nursing programs I am looking at-a major bummer considering I took it at an academically rigorous 4-year university! Grrr...). Anyways, I also found stats to be enjoyable. Probability questions always presented the most trouble for me, but in general I found stats to be a lot easier than other math classes like calculus. As for tips, the class builds on itself so make sure you have a good foundation of the basics because they won't go away. Ask questions early so you are sure to have a solid understanding of the material. Good luck to everyone taking it this fall!

I'm taking stats now, too. It's an accelerated class - only 7 sessions! Each session is 4 hours. Around hour 3 my brain goes numb! I purposely took the stats class at the same college I'll be attending nursing school because it is actually listed as a psy class instead of math. As opposed to the community college where I would have paid much much less but it was a math with 2 pre-reqs to even take it. Math is my downfall (along with chemistry). So far, it's a LOT of info, but not impossible. Good luck!
