what state is still open for application for international nurses?

Published

guys, newbie here. Im totally no idea on how to apply nclex. I was forced to know and try to apply because my friend is urging me to take the exam asap. And i dont know how or what state to apply? would you guys be kind enough to help me? thank you! :)

All states are still open, but here are some of the limiting conditions to consider:

1). Do you have a valid SS# that allows you to work in the States, not to drive a car or for ID purposes only? Some states will allow you to take the exam, but will not issue the actual license until you provide that state's BON with the valid SS#. No SS# means don't bother to apply as it will be rejected AND the monies submitted is non-refundable, please read the application forms very carefully, it is usually clearly stated.

2). Do you have a working visa now?

3). How many years of paid working hospital experience do you have now?

4). What kind of nursing degree do you have now? BSN minimum? If so, it will still have to be evaluated.

5). There are many states that requires a copy of your country's nursing license, what country are you coming from?

6). What country is your degree from? As there are several states that are strictly enforcing the concurrency rules/regulations meaning a very high chance, the application will be denied or rejected from getting the approval until such deficient courses are met. There are also many states that require certain courses that some countries are lacking in such as peds, maternity, etc. or may lack sufficient hours in either classes or clinical sections.

7). What state do you want to work and practice in once you passed the NCLEX-RN and want to start looking for a job the day you get your license?

where are you from?
