A few years ago, my ex (of 9 years) suddenly and very cruelly left me. I was just starting to get better from cancer complications and depression from the pain, so I admitted myself to a mental health facility to get the help I needed. I have since had a complete turn around and just graduated nursing school with honors. I was honest on my application and admitted this had happen within 5 yrs. Now instead of being released like my classmates, I have to go before the board and explain things, or let them "see I am okay now." I am nervous because I have fought long and hard, going from using a wheelchair to working out and being very active. I was a paramedic before I was sick and my dream was to be an ER nurse, I have a job offer as one! Has anyone heard of the board refusing to let someone get their license for something like this? Its frustrating and hopefully the delay won't loose my dream job.

Go in and show them you are okay now. :) Congrats on your success! It sounds like you are a strong person with a solid sense of self-worth. Just let that shine through. Best of luck!
