Hi Monique!

Yes I do work full time and I am a full time student. But I'm not gonna lie it is hard! I have a complete map out that I do each sunday night of my entire week. I have three calendars that I keep everything very organized on. I know each day I have something to read, something to study, and something that is do online. I cannot fall behind or I will freak out! lol. Unlike a lot of my fellow students I do not have the opportunity to not work while going to school. I plan to work full time until I start clinicals next april. Trying to bank as much cash as possible for the debt ahead lol. Right now I'm doing ok but it's still my first term...next I have biochem! So fingers crossed I can handle it lol. I'm currently looking into a different job at the hospital I work at so I can work 12hour shifts just three days a week unlike the 5-6day 8hr shifts I work now. Over all I really do enjoy wcu! It's tough work but I feel like I just started and I already have midterms next week! It just flies right by! Any more questions feel free to ask. I know a lot of people are very negative about west coast but being at school is a completely different experience. Good luck! =)

Hi! Thanks so much for answering my question and giving me some insight. Are you working day shifts or night? I'm simmering on the info you've given me so if I can ask you anything else I definitely will! Thanks again and keep up your hard work :]

Sorry Monique it's been about a month since I've been on here lol. I'm almost done with my first term.Finals are next week! Getting ready to start biochem and cutural pluralism. I currently work the night shift 3pm-1130pm. The school gives our schedules out about a month ahead of when the classes start. My boss is very understanding of me going to school so he works with the days I have school. This current term I have class one day a week and now next term is just two days. As I've gotten into the groove of how these classes and homework works I have more free time. It takes a few weeks to figure out how to manage your time. I'm not nearly as over whelmed and have straight A's. Have you decided? =)

WCU is now WASC accredited!!!!

Yes wcu is wasc accredited! Got that email today too! So exciting! Now I can go to ANY nurse practitioner school after graduation. =)

Hello,

I am interest in attending West Coast University at Los Angeles. I was told the price is high to attend to that school and I understand. My biggest concern is if people get hired after the students graduate?

Yes they do! I work at a hospital in anaheim and we have hired a couple. I know a few hired at CHOC and CHLA. Many got into UCLA new graduate program. Also now that we are WASC accredited the degree looks even better! I have a few friends that have graduated and they say that at the end of the program that the school helps them find jobs. And we have a high NCLEX passing rate. Hope this helps! =)

Did you take the challenge test for math by any chance? I was wondering if they ask questions off the syllabus they give you. I heard they make the test difficult to pass.

If you have taken College Algebra before and did well in it, you shouldn't have any problem passing it. I have several classmates that did pass the challenge exam. Of course they do make the test very difficult, it is actually testing to make sure you know your stuff. No easy pass. Not sure what is on the test though, since I did not take it myself.

Thank you, I've aced college algebra before, I just don't want to waist my time and money if they make it impossible to pass. Good to hear you have classmates that have passed.
