Your program instructors are telling you horror stories? Yikes, that sounds like a bogus situation. My first piece of advice is, DON'T LISTEN TO THE HORROR STORIES. Every single nursing student goes through those classes. Yes, the content gets harder each semester of Med-Surg, but you should already have a very strong knowledge base from the previous Med-Surg classes.... the advanced ones only build on to that knowledge base.
You've made it this far, keep up with what you've been doing to pass tests and do well in clinical. Utilize all your books, hand-outs, cohorts, teachers, and new friends here on AN. The internet has a vast array of knowledge, too, just be careful where you get your information from.
Stay calm, take one class and clinical at a time and know that you've made it this far, you'll make it the rest of the way.
Oh, and don't try to study for NCLEX-RN before you graduate. It's too stressful.

Im entering 4th semester in the fall and am excited but nervous as well. I keep hearing horror stories from my program instructors and its getting to me. The semester will consist of Med surg ll and professional nursing lv. Just looking for any advice from fellow nursing students who have completed their last semester of nursing school :).
