I finished 3 semesters of nursing school and had to take my 4th semester off due to financial difficulties (my husband was laid off). I have now been out out of the program for 2 full semesters and am wanting to return. My school is wanting me to take an exam to see if I can be readmitted ..if I pass I can start at 3rd semester (I've already passed 3rd....) if I don't score high enough I have to start at semester 1 again..
My options are return to this school (ADN) for possibly another 1-2 years to get my ADN after already spending 3 semesters there OR there is an Accelerated BSN program an hour from my house...I would have to start over from scratch there..but its only 12 months and I come out with a BSN. It is very $$ though 38,000 for the 12 months...I'm already have 15000 in student loans. I'm also a mom of 3 small kids so the ABSN is going to be rough.
I'm leaning towards the ABSN but wanted to see what others think is the smartest route.
