Repeating 3rd..not because I failed...is depressing
They told me to study everything..my old med surg book, ATI, Saunders...its a bit overwhelming to be honest. I have no idea WHAT is going to be on this test. I do still have access to my books and ATI so thats a positive but the amount of information between semester 1 and 2..I'm not even sure where to start or what to focus on honestly. I'm pretty sure the test is an ATI exam..so I'm going to take practice exams from there and study the Fundamentals book and the med surg ATI book.

Repeating 3rd..not because I failed...is depressing
Hopefully I dont have to start over at 1st.... they have said if I do not score in the top two levels of the med surg exam I have to start from scratch! Otherwise..If I do then I can start at 3rd. I'm trying to be positive about this but dang it..I wish I could just start where I left off

Should I retake Anatomy?
Depends on your schools repeat policy. Some places you can not get permission to retake a class with a C or above. Does your nursing program have a limit on how many classes you can retake without being forced out of the program? My school you can only retake 2 classes...and that includes pre reqs and nursing courses..if you have to retake a 3rd you are out.

Repeating 3rd..not because I failed...is depressing
I passed 3rd semester..and then had to take a leave of absence for personal reasons. I've been gone 2 semesters and plan on returning after next semester. I have to take a comprehensive exam that covers semester 1 and 2 med surg before I can be readmitted. the downside is that they wont let me into 4th semester..they are making me retake 3rd again =( 3rd is OB/PEds/Mental health...I dont understand why I need to retake it when I already passed it...and if I pass the exam! If I dont pass the exam I have to start at semester 1 again.. The idea of paying for and taking 3 classes I've already passed...again...just really depresses me. Has anyone else had to do this??

Failed nursing school twice!! I need advice. HELP!
What I was told by my school is that unless the school you have your credits from has an LPN portion then you can not take the LPN exam as part of the requirement is to graduate from a program. Several schools in my area do not take nursing credits from other programs and would require me to start over at semester 1. You might get lucky and find a LPN program that will let you test out..but I doubt it..most require you to take a certain number of credits from their program before you can graduate..and again you have to graduate from a program to take the PN exam ..at least in my state.

Starting over after 3 semesters
I finished 3 semesters of nursing school and had to take my 4th semester off due to financial difficulties (my husband was laid off). I have now been out out of the program for 2 full semesters and am wanting to return. My school is wanting me to take an exam to see if I can be readmitted ..if I pass I can start at 3rd semester (I've already passed 3rd....) if I don't score high enough I have to start at semester 1 again.. My options are return to this school (ADN) for possibly another 1-2 years to get my ADN after already spending 3 semesters there OR there is an accelerated BSN program an hour from my house...I would have to start over from scratch there..but its only 12 months and I come out with a BSN. It is very $$ though 38,000 for the 12 months...I'm already have 15000 in student loans. I'm also a mom of 3 small kids so the ABSN is going to be rough. I'm leaning towards the ABSN but wanted to see what others think is the smartest route. Thank you
