I'm no PDA expert by I like mine just fine. It's a dell x50. Does everything I need with decent battery life. My understanding is that you need to decide which platform you prefer...a palm or windows os. If you are used to window then you might prefer it. As far as software, there is tons. Here is a link to check out some medical software, but there are many others.
I purchased a Palm TX recently. It has wireless/bluetooth and 128 mb internal memory. I shopped around for the best price. I have some links saved, I can share them later...going to relieve some stress on the golf course while consuming some adult beverages shortly with my hubby!Jennie
The Palm TX is exactly the one I was looking at. How do you like it? Are you an SRNA?
Here is a good link for software:
I've been happy with it. I have been uploading info and plan to set up a group purchase with an anesthesia software company for my class. I'm second semester, starting clincials in August. I want to get a handle on it before I start clinicals.

Thanks for the info. I think that's the way I'm going to go.

I posted this on the PDA forum, but I also would like to ask you guys as well because I know that a lot of you use PDA's
I start an Accelerated BSN program in May and I was kicking around the idea of getting a PDA for my reference materials. What kind of stuff can I do with it and what brand would you recommend?
I plan on applying to a CRNA program in the future and I would like one that I could use for that as well, if it's not obsolete by then.
