I have been offered a job at Fresenius as RN with NO dialysis exp. I was offered $27.50 / hr. I live in TX (Hou). I was wondering if this is a reasonable rate to accept considering that I don't have dial exp and for this region of the country.
Can anyone offer some feedback?
Thanks y'all.

Sounds normal.

That depends. How many years of actual RN experience do you have, and in what capacity(s)? $27.50 for a new grad is commensurate for your area, but paltry for someone with more than five years as an RN. I made near that twelve years ago, in one of the lowest paid (for RN's) states in the nation. That said, RN wages are in a tailspin.

yes, I'm relatively new to nursing, not a new grad though. I've only been a RN for 1.5 yrs. I had been working at surgery centers, as pre op n PACU RN.

Well, that's not a horrific offer, then.
My guess it's lower than what you were earning? The majority of the dialysis industry has been eaten up by two primary corporations, neither of which generally pay as well as hospitals in the area.
Wait you're giving up being a preop/PACU RN to go into dialysis!! I'd give up anything to be able to do that but can't get into any position here like that without experience.
