Hello Everyone,
Can you suggest any study guides (books) to go along with my Pharmacology book? I would like to start preparing for the class because EVERYONE says it is a lot of info. I have been practicing the dosage calculations.
Thank you

im not sure how your pharm works but for me it was pharm 1 is all math, all dosage calculations. so if you have been practicing those its a breeze. that's just basic math and memorizing a formula.
then pharm 2 which I just started is the actual drugs. I would say get a drug book, and start getting familiar with drug classes, because there are so many drugs out there it can be overwhelming but if you can get familiar with what certain classes of drugs do or whats a common name for drugs of the same class for instance.. most meds ending in olol are beta blockers. meterpropolol labetolol ect
then some benzos tend do have pam or zam like alprazolam clonazepam loprazalam ect

the unbound series application by Davis is a very good program for your smart phone it is right at your fingertips. If you understand dimensional analysis this is your best gift for being able to calculate and convert, some are better at understanding ratio and proportion and that works too but has more steps to get to your answer. But there are also many free applications you can get as well.
Know your prefixes and suffixes that go with specific categories it will help you understand your medications and if you come across one you don't know if you know your categories it will help you figure out what the drug is used for, its side effects etc.
