starting MSN right away

I thought it'd be nice to hear different opinions on this. I may have the opportunity to go into a masters degree program right after graduating with my BSN, but I don't know if that is the best route. In my program they are very supportive of continuing education and even allow students to take graduate classes while still finishing a bachelors (paying undergrad tuition!), but I feel like they expect masters degree students to have years of experience before "going back". I'd love to work and do the program, but I don't know how the scheduling works. I'm still about 3 years away from graduating, but I'd like to hear opinions on this!

Thanks :-)

I would try to work and get your Master's. Your work experience will help you out. You may have to work part time and go to school full time or work full time and go to school part time, if you can't do full time with both.

As an MSN student, you don't need years of experience to get your MSN, though it will help you. There are plenty of people who get their MSN without experience. However, landing a job as a nurse with an MSN will be more difficult without experience as a nurse.

I also plan on going straight for my Master's right after my BSN, but I fully intend on working at the same time (God willing I find a job).
