hello fellow nurses. I just wanted to get some insight as to Walden University's online FNP or AGNP program. Walden University is based on Minnesota. Since I am from Texas, does graduating in the said institution allow me to sit for licensure examination and practice in Texas? Is anyone here from Texas taking the same program at the same University? Any information will be totally appreciated.

Based on your question did you check if Walden's program is an approved program by the Texas board of nursing? Usually as long as a state board of nursing recognizes and approves an online or brick and mortar program you can do distance learning and get licensed in your home state.

Best bet is to call your BON and ask.
Just updating.. I did my diligent research and called the texas bon as well. Walden online graduates are allowed to sit for licensure exam in Texas!

I just recently applied to the program at Walden along with several other schools. I am finishing my BSN there right now and love the program. It is very organized and the professors are top-notch! I am eager to get accepted into Georgetown though, so we shall see. Good luck to you!
