After 6 stressful weeks of waiting and a lot of jumping through hoops this past week I accepted the position at a children's psychiatric hospital today and my first day is tomorrow. Technically I didn't give 2 weeks notice at the job I left today but they aren't holding it against me since I've basically been upfront about wanting to accept this job if it was offered. I'm excited, nervous, have no clue what I am getting into but am looking forward to the challenge. I am joining the ranks of psych nurse.

Congratulations! When you get a chance, please give us
an update-how did your first day go?
Rewarding specialty, child psych and hope you are enjoying your orientation.
The first 2 days were good It was alot of the basic usual orientation stuff but also had some interesting points. The best part was where 2 adults that had mental health issues came and told us their stories. I actually cried during that part. I have 3 days left that are all pro-ACT training. I will definitely keep everyone updated.
