Congratulations on starting your CNA class!
I personally just finished my CNA classes, waiting to start clinicals now. The material itself was easy enough; however, the class was super fast-paced. When I signed up for the class, I was told it'd be 6-8 weeks; however, it wound up being only 3 weeks and we had a lot of territory to cover in a short period of time. I'm still worried about the clinicals just cause we barely practiced the skills in class; however, I plan to practice them as much as possible on friends and also keep watching the instruction videos until I have them down pat.
i appreciate all of you responding! i like being part of this social network. just getting a reply is such motivation and i really feel the support. we just finished the first week! class is going great. got 100% on the first quiz and 92% on another. we have our first test on monday and start clinicals tuesday. we learn so much so soon. i love my instructors and i'm getting to know my classmates. it took me a few chapters to figure out the best way to study. i do know that i need all of the resources offered. i'm going to take full advantage of them. thanks again for everyone responding! much love

i'm very excited to start cna class today :)
i don't know how it is in other community colleges, but at rock valley college, you need a CNA certificate as well as the usual pre reqs in order to apply to the ADN program. i'm just glad to FINALLY get started. plus i can't find a job in town. the gas is killing me, and i know that there are tons of places hiring CNAs close to home. i graduated high school in 2007 and haven't done anything towards further education. don't really know why i was slacking, but seeing all of my peers starting their new careers and having a bachelors degree under their belts was really a wake up call/slap to the face/boot to the butt. i'm a little nervous about starting school again, but i think it will only take a little bit of time for me to get back into the swing of things. i'm very determined, and i know i can get the best grades, i just have to stay focused. i was the kid in high school that always had teachers saying "you're so smart, why don't you just apply yourself?" i had a better ACT score than half the people in the top of my graduating class, i jus. i'm a lot more motivated now. i definitely plan on becoming an APN, i'm thinking nurse midwifery. thats what my passion is. i know that i can't slack and have to be the best in order to stand out and be able to get accepted to grad school.
anyway, like i said before, i'm just glad that i'm finally on my way. thanks for reading :)
