Stanford Health Care Nurse Residency Cohort 41

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Stanford Nurse Residency, Cohort 41. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up at 12 am tonight! Good luck to all of us!

I also got an interview for Onc unit. Does anyone know how many people they hire this cohort? I have heard that they only hire 30 for this time :(.

don't stress if you didn't get anything ❤️ 

in the email, it let me select a time slot for my interview. all the time slots are still open so I think only a handful of candidates received an invite. I'm sure more will come out later this week or next week

I think some onc and some med people have gotten emails, but not everyone for sure!

Hi,

Congrats to those that have gotten an invite thus far. Also, I appreciate the positive energy and encouragement. If you all don't mind, could you all share what you all think made you stood out, and if ONC was your first specialty choice?

onc was my first choice. my resume wasn't the strongest tbh (no leadership positions, volunteer experience, or nursing externships but I have some CNA experience). I spent a lot of time on the essays and used it as an opportunity as to why I chose nursing and what I would contribute as an RN.

Some Medical AUU? Where did you hear this from? :(( I want to not lose hope on this one as I gave it my all and then some for my essay answers. Refreshing every few minutes is giving me carpal tunnel 😞

yeah, they might be doing it in waves. I got an invite today, but like others have said the interview schedule I clicked on is still wide open.

Congrats on your interview! This is huge! It's a win!  How many spots were still open of you don't mind me asking and was this interview slot just for oncology or all units? TIA 🙂

Mine still says in process in review, so the invite didn't change the status.
