St Vincent's Private Hospital Uniform Melbourne

Published

I have been slack and haven't contacted the education unit to query the uniforms but I received my induction package and although I've seen the St Vincent's Private uniforms I can't recall exactly what they look like and I'm meant to have ordered already. Can anyone help me? The order forms don't have any pictures on them!

I assume the shirt that says 'with darts' is a slightly more fitted shirt, and the print is on a navy or white background? Girls that work there do you wear the printed shirt or the knit red top more?

TIA

Mate - I would NEVER buy a uniform that I had not tried on. Has no-one told you that uniforms are always made two sizes smaller than is printed on the tag??? If you are normally a 10 expect to need at least a 12-14!!!!

Some uniforms are a nightmare. I have seen pants where the belt is so small that to get the belt to fit the rest looks like they belong to Ronald McDonald!!

Exactly! though I'm not being given the opportunity to try any of it on. The uniforms are apparently done out of NSW and I know that especially with the pants I need to go a size up or down on my usual size beacuse of the stupid cut.

I used to work at St. Vincent's Public in Melbourne and the uniforms are the same in the private (I think!??!?!) ie.ugly and a whole lot BIGGER than the size tag! I needed to go 2 sizes smaller than normal.... which wasn't a problem for me!

Nurses have a number of shirts to choose from... ranging from tailored t-shirts (in navy, red and a spew-mustard colour) to button-tthrough blouses (navy and/or white with a pattern of the St. Vincents emblem on them)... All available from Neat 'n Trim Uniforms (NNT) on Elizabeth Street (Vic Market end).

I hope this helps... :)

Thanks hun :)

You're right they used to be the same but now the Private decided to change and instead of the red collarless tshirts they're now navy and the printed shirts are navy with the ugly emblems:o now I have a rough idea what they look like but no idea with the sizes as they've changed to corporate uniforms run out of NSW....

Guess I'll have to wait until the study week to see the uniforms. It's a pain in the butt to order off mail order as if I need to change the size I have to send the stupid thing back to NSW!!
