In the state of Texas, your licensure renewal date corresponds with your birth month and year. People who were born during odd numbered years (1985, 1971, etc.) will always renew during odd years (2009, 2011, 2013, and so forth). Likewise, people born in even numbered years will always renew during even years. Since you were born during an odd year, you will renew later in 2009 and again in 2011.
Your renewal date is also scheduled to occur during your birth month, so you must have been born in October.
What should you do? You should pay the renewal fee to keep your license current. Since your license expires October 31, you may pay the renewal fee anytime after August 31. Good luck and don't worry.

I just recently passed my NCLEX (2 days ago), as I verify my RN license online at TEXAS BON website. I was surprised that my licensed was soon to expire. Most of my friends don't have this problem !!! What should I do ? Here is what i seee on the BON website
"Texas Initial Licensure Date:
2/5/2009
Licensure Status:
CURRENT - 10/31/2009"
