Does anyone know of some good internet resources for looking up Nursing Interventions according to Diagnosis or Nursing Diagnosis?
I am particularly stumped on finding interventions for a resident with "Thrombocytosis" which is high platelet count in the blood.
Our instructor requires 2 interventions for each medical diagnosis. The only signs and symptoms of this disease are lab values. I cannot come up with a "practical" intervention to deal with this disorder. I did see an article indicating bleeding from gums and gastrointestinal bleeding are associated with this. Help!!
Thank you VERY much, in advance!

the only cross reference i saw on the internet was in the ackley/ladwig care plan constructor (i given you a link to it below), but i believe they have changed the way the website is arranged and it may no longer do that. these two medical dictionaries have cross references in them:
what other information do you have about this resident? thrombocyctosis is something that generally does not exist on its own, but is a symptom of another medical problem:
http://www.merck.com/mmpe/sec11/ch141/ch141b.html#sec11-ch141-ch141b-678 - essential thrombocythemia (essential thrombocytosis; primary thrombocythemia)
Thank you so much for the help, resources and advice!!
It is GREATLY appreciated!
