Just wondering if anyone has tested and applied for the Galen LPN program starting in Feb 2010? I am starting in that program and am pretty excited. They are moving to a new campus which is awesome!

Are you really? When did you graduate again? Man, that sucks... I see ads all the time -- I guess they are not what you think they are... That worries me a little, guess I have a year to worry myself over it.

Yup, the ads are all for LPNs with experience. I've started looking for a job in my previous career, and still having problems. I'm having second thoughts about starting RN program in May at SPC.
WOW! that really sucks... I would not re-think it. At some point it has got to give.. it just seems to be getting worse in all areas -- not just nursing. My husband, mother-in -law, sis-in-law are all at very different jobs and have all been there for a long, long time, professional type positions and due to funding (one in the city sector) and the economy in general they may be losing their jobs before the summer... it is crazy..
Back to Galen topic.. not even a whole week in and feelin' the heat... I have Mr. Nutty.. he is very to the point, but I like him.
Been doing A/P homework all night.. not knowing what to expect on the test is the scary part.. I think? Good luck with the job stuff!!!! and RN school, when are you supposed to start?

Question - If you are "weeded" out in the first semester do you get any of your money back or do you still owe them all the thousands of dollars that they charge for tuition? I know their price alone and their mandatory track (LPN first, then RN) kept me from seriously considering them. Thanks...and Good Luck!
